1. Unusual bride arrival. Horse & carriage, a fancy classic car or a stunning classic speedboat are all great bridal arrival options (tnx @comoclassicboats!) – before being taken down the aisle.
2. Spectacular groom entrance. On horseback, by motorcycle, abord a helicopter… or by sea plane (yes, we did it!!!) Guests first thought the groom was arriving by jet ski!
3. Cute ring bearer. Have a young family member who could do the honours? Or, a pet (dog / cat) you can train? Get them dressed up for the occasion!
4. Exciting performers. Treat guests to belly dancing, a live band (shout out to @bellehistoireriviera!), a piano guy with hits on request, sensual acrobats (think @loperasttropez). Or, even the singing waiters – make your aperitif & wedding dinner fun!
5. Killer DJ. Ours was @_djjahn_ (Como & around) and was awesome. Get any of your guests with the moves out on the dance floor first!
6. Instagrammable props. Swap that classic photobooth for fun props: a classic car, a vespa, a speedboat…. Lake Como worked wonders as the backdrop for us (& giant @funboy inflatables added to the experience)!
7. Customized cake topper. 3D look-alike bobble heads are really great for that!
8. Choreographed first dance. Take your time to prepare and experiment. Our best man gave the groom a shot of limoncello, and a bridesmaid handed the bride a blushing rose during our first dance finale.
9. Costume change. It’s not just for the ladies! We had the groom and his party change into D’Artagnan and the 3 Musketeers’ outfits for the afterparty.
10. Public gifts to one another . Is one of you is a good dancer, singer, musician or artist? Create a special experience for the other half as a gift, doubling up as extra guest entertainment.
