Thanks so much for stopping by!! I absolutely adore the original Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. In the intro, I used some quotes from the book. The story behind this costume is: I was planning a trip to Vancouver Island in the summer to promote my styling business – so I decided to do a vendor booth at a huge summer rave. I needed a kick-ass costume to go with the Alice in Wonderland theme. I couldn’t find anything online that I loved, though I found a basic Alice outfit on Ebay for 12$…. so I decided to buy it, then bling it up by making another rave bra (based similarly on my previous rave bra tutorial here: I got an old bra out of my sock drawer that was white, grabbed some jewels from the dollar store – and cut up the Alice costume that came in the mail. It turned out pretty nice! Then I paired the outfit up with the rave boots I made: – and the whole outfit worked out beautifully. I hope you guys enjoy – this is absolutely perfect for any Halloween costume party or upcoming rave. The fur boots are perfect for outdoor parties – because they keep your legs warm all night ~ I’d say the boots are better for the winter indoor raves too. Sometimes it gets chilly!
All the details are below:
– I purchased the original dress on Ebay for 16$ and it took about 4 weeks to show up. Make sure to order ahead of time!
– you will need Liquid Stitch glue OR you can use a glue gun
– Jewels from the dollar store or any craft store
– An old bra from your bra drawer or a new one!
– Pearls or long strands of beads
– a bow to match your color scheme
– Any additional things you want to add, go for it!!

Welcome to the world of Missy Chrissy. I’m a stylist, DJ and Mommy in the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I’m Canadian… but my family background is from France (south France), Epsom/Oxford England and Dublin, Ireland. I’m basically a blue eyed over-the-top personality that loves anything to do with couture, potatoes, croissants, tea and wine. I speak fluent French. I grew up in West Vancouver, BC. I left home at the tender age of 18. I attended the Art Institute of Vancouver for Fashion Merchandising, while DJ’ing across BC and Canada from 2002 to 2009. I spent 4 years at UNBC in Prince George, British Columbia studying a major in First Nations Studies and minor in Women Studies. I also have a supplementary diploma in addictions and community health. I recently wrapped up a 10 year career in health care to pursue my passion for fashion styling, music and makeup/hair full time. I’ve tried so many avenues in life, but keep coming back to this amazing world of creative arts. I can’t get enough. So here I am, doing my THANG.
My hobbies include ice hockey, ringette, a lot of gangster rap, house music and drum n bass.
Let’s be friends, boo boo!!! XOXO
