But it’s the one thing that most people starting a mix don’t do.
As you are keen to get stuck in,
It’s easy to start moving things around and adding your favourite plugin settings, etc.
But make sure you always balance the mix first.
Start with all the faders at zero and move things around from there.
In my mix course, people are surprised with themselves by doing this habit.
They find they process less and listen more,
And therefore get a better result just from taking some time to do this very simple process.
