In order to grow your mobile DJ business, it’s extremely important to get out there and find out what’s going on in your community. It gives you the opportunity to meet many different people. Many of you may already network with event and wedding planners. Yet, try to meet other people outside the events industry. For example, I met Jen Colletta, editor of the Philadelphia Gay News at a few different functions. Not only did I end up DJing her wedding, she also wrote about our company in her PGN wedding blog, “Before the Bells.” What’s more, I was able to bring you this interview today with her and Greg Dennis, PGN’s advertising manager.

Who else did I meet? Nina Scimenes, Marketing Manager at Brulee Catering. Their lobster rolls are out of this world! Also a special thanks to Gina Romanelli, Director of Sales and Merissa V. Blum, Public Relations Coordinator at the National Constitution Center for giving me a sneak peak of their featured exhibit, “Speaking Out For Equality. The Constitution, Gay Rights and The Supreme Court.” If you’re in Philadelphia you should definitely check it out! If you’d like more DJ tips and advice, or to see where I’m headed next, don’t forget to Subscribe! Thank you for your support! DeeJay Shelly
