As a DJ it’s important to give back to your community. When Luke Kirchner called me saying they couldn’t find a DJ for their “Shave for Paige” fundraising event, I said, “I’m there!” So why was the Warrington Firehouse “Shaving For Paige”?
Paige is a young girl who is RARE. She’s one BRAVE soul who’s battling ovarian cancer at age 11. I was honored to be asked to DJ her event. While I was there, I decided to capture the moment so all of you could experience it too! Paige made the courageous decision to shave her head during her chemo treatments. So what did the community decide to do? SHAVE for PAIGE!
I love music. However, becoming a DJ wasn’t just about the music. It gave me the chance to experience moments like this. Thank you to Paige, her family and Luke Kirchner, a Warrington Fire Fighter, for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing event.
As a DJ, or DJ business owner, it’s important to support those who support you. While I can’t host every event I’m asked to volunteer, I try to do the ones I can, especially when they’re in my local community. Although I live in Philadelphia, I went to school in the Warrington area. What’s more? I wanted to support the local fire fighters and policemen who help our communities. Lastly, once I saw Paige’s adorable face on the event flyer Luke Kirchner sent to me, I just had to be there for this very brave little lady! Thanks guys!
