Adding in-floor heating under tile is one of the best upgrades you can make during a bathroom renovation! While it adds a bit more cost upfront, the comfort level is completely worth it.
To do it right, you need to plan ahead during the electrical rough-in phase. Have your electrician wire a dedicated junction box for the thermostat, and crucially, run a protective conduit from that box right down to the subfloor. Make sure to leave a pull string inside the conduit! Once your tile setter lays down the heating cables and the floor sensor, your electrician can easily use that string to pull the lines up into the thermostat box without any hassle. Simple, clean, and future-proof!
