We built a 12ft Aluminium boat because we couldn’t get to our big boat in the lockdowns. Of course we recorded the whole thing and here’s the first video.
It’s going to be the tender/dinghy for the big boat. The design is by Rick Welin of (www.metalboatkits.com)

Rick was very helpful during the build, would definitely recommend!
We used 4mm Aluminium 5083 which is a marine specific grade. The tube etc was 6063 and 6061.
We Tig welded the whole thing as that’s what we had to use, not ideal but got the job done.
Filler for marine aluminium welding is 5356.
